| 概要 | In this paper, we establish a lower bound for the beta-number of an arbitrary
galaxy under certain conditions. We also define what it means for a galaxy to be odd symmetric and even symmetric. With these new concepts, we determine formulas for the beta-number and gamma-number of odd symmetric galaxies. As corollaries, we provide formulas for the beta-number and gamma-number of the disjoint union of multiple copies of the same galaxy if the number of copies is odd. In addition to these, we present an upper bound for the beta-number of even symmetric galaxies. As a consequence, we obtain partial formulas for the beta-number and gamma-number of even symmetric galaxies. Based on this work, we propose some new conjectures. |
